Job Overview: Quality Inspector to check the quality of all products and record the results. You will be a strong advocate of quality in our business to our employees & customers.

Minimum of 5 years experience as a QA Inspector in fab or machine shop.

The ability to read & interpret drawings, specifications & other instructions -to comprehend the quality expectations of the customer for the product.

Working knowledge of precision dimensional measurement, and surface finish inspection tools & techniques

Experience with ASME Code VIII, NQA-1, ISO9000, AS9100 or similar Quality Systems.

Working knowledge of computer office applications (ie, MS Office).

Responsible, reliable, ethical & committed to doing a thorough job.

Attention to detail, Mechanical aptitude, Geometric tolerancing, Procedure adherence, Acceptance criteria interpretation, Basic computer skills.


Ensuring that manufactured products meet specific acceptance standards.

Determine production Sampling and check products - using appropriate methods (measuring dimensions, specifications etc.), to meet Custo-mer’s requirements.

Create & maintain Records of Inspection, file + send to CEO & Customer (if requested)

Complete & send Certification to Compliance to Customer (as required).

Determine various Metrics [Number of defective products per day, week, month, etc.

Monitor the use of CMM production equipment to ensure it is safe and well-maintained + maintain or repair any that doesn’t meet requirements

Training of Operators on Drawings

Prepare and submit Inspection Reports to Production Mgr.

Job Type: Part-time, 10-20 hrs / week

Education: HS diploma or equivalent and/or Tech School certificate or equivalent:

Preferred: Retired Inspector, Machining

Pay: $15-20/hr, depending on experience
