Job description

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance: Interpret and implement CMS interoperability regulations, ensuring HIPAA and HL7 FHIR standards are met.

FHIR API Development: Oversee the design and implementation of Patient Access, Provider Directory, and Payer-to-Payer APIs.

System Integration: Support integration between Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Health Information Exchanges (HIE).

Project Leadership: Act as a product owner or subject matter expert bridging IT, legal, and clinical operations.

Data Exchange Optimization: Promote secure, efficient exchange of electronic health information to improve care decisions. Required Skills and Qualifications

Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of HL7 FHIR standards, FHIR endpoints, and EDI (Electronic Data Interchange).

Regulatory Expertise: Familiarity with CMS interoperability rules, TEFCA, and HIPAA compliance.

Experience: Previous experience in healthcare IT, specifically working with payers, providers, or HIEs.

Project Management: Proven ability to manage technical projects in an agile environment.
