We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team on a Fixed Term Contract (FTC) to lead the migration of an existing Excel Add-In application. The successful candidate will modernize legacy C++ and VB code by building new user interfaces from scratch using ReactJS and Office JS. You will be instrumental in reimagining our application architecture while ensuring seamless integration with Excel and other business-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and migrate legacy code (C++, VB) to a modern tech stack.

• Design and develop robust UI applications from scratch using ReactJS and Office JS.

• Build, maintain, and enhance Excel Add-ins.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.

• Integrate application components with RESTful APIs (JSON), XML, and SOAP web services.

• Ensure code quality, security, and performance throughout the migration process.

• Collaborate with the team during all phases of the software development lifecycle.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proficient in C++ and VB (Visual Basic) code.

• Strong experience in front-end development: ReactJS and Office JS.

• Hands-on experience building and supporting Excel Add-ins.

• Solid understanding of migrating legacy applications to modern frameworks.

• Familiarity with integrating XML, SOAP, and RESTful APIs (JSON).

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred/Plus Skills:

• Experience with AWS cloud services.

• Proficiency in Java, Python.

• Exposure to Agile development methodologies.
