Full Stack Java Engineer (Insurance Boston, MA - Hybrid 4x per week)

seeking a Full Stack Java Engineer to support ongoing modernization initiatives, including migrations to AWS and upgrades to newer versions of Angular.

This is an ongoing contract role with no tenure limit and requires onsite work in Boston, MA four days per week.

The interview process consists of two rounds only: one virtual interview followed by a mandatory onsite interview (no final-round virtual interviews).

In this role, you will partner closely with business analysts to translate requirements into technical designs and deliver high-quality, scalable web applications across the full stack.

You will design, develop, test, and support Java-based applications using Spring and related frameworks, build and integrate RESTful services and microservices, and contribute to deployments and production support as needed.

The position requires strong experience with Java/J2EE, modern web technologies including Angular, SQL-based data persistence, and application servers, along with hands-on experience deploying microservices in AWS.

Familiarity with web security best practices, performance tuning, and scalable application design is essential.

Experience in the property and casualty insurance domain is a plus.
