Job Description

Our client, a large growing health system in Eastern TX has a need for 3 DAY SHIFT (8 or 10 hr shifts, with rotating weekends) Pharmacists to join their team. They have both Pharmacist I and Pharmacist II openings available. New grads are ok with hospital based residencies. No retail pharmacist.

Hospital Pharmacists serve as drug therapy experts and resources for medical staff, nursing staff and patients in the inpatient setting. Basic duties include evaluating and verifying medication orders, intervening when necessary to improve safety and efficacy of drug therapy, supervising safe and accurate dispensing of medications, monitoring patient-specific drug therapies including antibiotics and anticoagulants and providing drug information. Additional duties may include responding to medical emergencies, performing pharmacokinetic consults, modifying medication orders according to established protocols and precepting pharmacy students and residents.


Currently licensed to practice pharmacy in the State of Texas

Graduate of an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy

Ability to promote teamwork and build effective relationships

Strong customer service skills.

Knowledge of pharmacy and hospital computer systems and computer-assisted devices.

Pharmacy Sterile Product certification through an accredited program required.

New Grads are accepted as a Pharmacist I. Pharmacist II’s must have previous Hospital experience.
