Job Title: Press and Stamping Machine Operator (Temp-to-Hire)

Overview Manufacturing company in Watertown, CT is seeking a Press and Stamping Machine Operator in a temp-to-hire role for 1st shift. You will operate and maintain press/stamping machines to produce high-quality metal components while adhering to strict safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate press and stamping machines; adjust settings for optimal performance.

Load raw materials; monitor operations to detect malfunctions or deviations.

Inspect finished parts with measuring tools to verify conformance to specifications.

Perform routine maintenance (cleaning, lubrication, basic adjustments).

Maintain accurate production records; promptly report issues to supervision.

Follow all safety protocols and use required PPE.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience operating press and stamping machinery preferred.

Ability to read/interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Able to work independently and collaboratively on a team.

Working Conditions

Stand for extended periods; lift/move materials up to 50 lbs.

Exposure to typical manufacturing environment (noise, moving machinery).

Proper PPE required at all times.
