Maintenance Technician - Boiler Specialist

SDK Village Green is looking for a full-time Maintenance Technician with specialized expertise in boiler repairs. The position will be responsible for boiler maintenance, building maintenance, as well as fulfilling all repair service requests for residents and apartments make-ready orders.

This full-time position is based in Budd Lake, NJ with required on-call and snow hours.

About the Position

As our maintenance technician/boiler specialist, you will…

Model behavior that aligns with our values when interacting with anyone associated with our company.

Perform boiler installations, maintenance, and repairs.

Conduct inspections to identify issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Troubleshoot and repair boiler systems efficiently.

Read and interpret schematics to diagnose problems accurately.

Open, clean, and close various size boilers.

Utilize mechanical knowledge to address various boiler-related issues.

Aim to resolve service requests within 24 hours, as much as possible, following established work order procedures; communicate effectively with the team on progress and roadblocks.

Assess and repair issues including electrical, plumbing, appliances, painting, minor tile work, carpentry.

Ensure all make-ready repairs and services are completed correctly and on schedule.

Address inclement weather issues (e.g., snow removal).

Provide general support for grounds maintenance, trash removal, and cleaning tasks to ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment as needed.

About Your Professional Background & Skills

5- 7 years of progressive building maintenance experience, preferably in a multifamily environment.

Skilled in boiler and HVAC/R maintenance; mechanical boiler operator license is a plus!

Demonstrated knowledge and skill in general plumbing, electrical, carpentry, locksmithing, painting, dry-wall repair, and snow removal.

Exceptional customer service, interpersonal and follow through skills.

Available for on-call emergency services on an as-needed basis.

Must have reliable transportation and a valid license.

Possess stellar references.

Must be able to work with any employer in the US without any restrictions whatsoever.

The gross hourly pay range for this position is between $27.00 - 30.00. The actual compensation will be based on factors unique to the candidate, including direct years of experience and depth of knowledge.
