Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Job Description

RegisteredBehaviorTechnicians work with individuals of all ages to help improve their lives and their ability to

interact with those around them. The RBT will be responsible for observing the individual's interactions with various environments to identify social and behavioral issues, such as self-injury or aggression. The RBT will be responsible for direct observation, collecting data and providing training and support to team members.

Responsibilities:

Observe individuals in home, school and clinic settings.

Assist with assessments to report to BCBA.

Provide training and support to team members

Complete on-going assessment of services.

Collect, record, and summarize data on observable clientbehavior.

Assist with parent and caregiver training in line with client's individualized treatment andbehaviorreduction protocols.

Effectively communicate client progress.

Maintain client confidentiality.

Collaborate with treatment team including client, parents and caregivers, outside professionals.

Maintain and acquire technical knowledge by attending required training.

Qualifications:

Completion ofRegisteredBehaviorTechnician(RBT) certificate.

Valid driver's license with your own transportation.

Excellent verbal and report writing skills.

Strong time management, problem solving and organizational skills.

The ability to remain composed and adherent to best practices.

The ability to pass drug screen, background and reference checks.

Physical Working Conditions:

Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and spend time standing as well as an ability to lift items up to 50 lbs

Endurance to move quickly from a seated position to a standing position to accommodate the treatment plan and/ or for the safety of the patient

Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity enough to operate office equipment, etc.
