Hospice Clinical Weekend Supervisor
Salary: $85-$90k/ yr BOE
Schedule: Friday 5 PM- Monday 8 AM
Location: Hilliard, Ohio (Hybrid)
Requirements of the Clinical Supervisor role:
Licensed Registered Nurse
A minimum of 2 years of HOSPICE experience
Leadership experience
Valid driver's License and Auto insurance Coverage
Reliable transportation
Knowledge of business management, governmental regulations, and CHAP standards
About the Clinical Supervisor role:
Serve as an active clinical leader for the after-hours team, providing real-time support, guidance, and decision-making assistance during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as assigned.
Answer triage calls during assigned shifts while maintaining a calm, reassuring presence during emotionally intense situations.
Assessing patients, symptoms, pain levels, and other concerns over the phone to determine the urgency of care and the need for in-person visits.
Schedule and manage overnight visits, ensuring appropriate staffing coverage and efficient routing
Assist with after-hours staffing coordination, including scheduling coverage and assigning emergency or urgent visits to ensure timely patient care.
Personally respond to emergent patient needs in the field when necessary, including conducting visits to assess, intervene, and stabilize situations.
Maintain a responsive leadership presence by “landing” at the office between after-hours visits and calls to support coordination, documentation oversight, and team communication.
Remain accessible and accountable during assigned after-hours coverage to ensure continuity of care and operational effectiveness.
Demonstrate leadership presence, sound clinical judgment, and operational accountability across both routine and urgent care situations.
Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance nursing practice and leadership effectiveness through continuing education, workshops, and professional participation.
Travel to and from patient residences to provide direct oversight, supervision, and hands-on clinical intervention when required.
Maintain oversight of medical supply management to ensure adequate and appropriate inventory for patient needs.
Ensure all clinical operations comply with Medicare Conditions of Participation, state regulations, and CHAP accreditation standards.
Collaborate closely with the Director of Clinical Services and assume delegated leadership responsibilities as requested.
Provide consistent supervision, mentorship, and clinical guidance to nursing and aide staff to maintain excellence in patient care and regulatory compliance.
