Step into a dynamic Imaging department as an Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist, supporting complex procedures in a fast-paced medical setting. This contract position features a structured schedule with four 10-hour shifts each week, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM (days will vary). In addition to core hours, candidates should be prepared for a minimum of 14 call-days, including at least two weekends within each six-week period. Call hours run Monday through Friday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with full 24-hour coverage required on Saturdays and Sundays.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience as an Imaging IR Technologist in a hospital or similar acute care environment
Active certification and registration as a radiologic technologist (ARRT or equivalent)
In-depth understanding of interventional procedures and principles of sterile technique
Strong knowledge of Cath Lab and IR equipment operation and safety protocols
Current BLS certification (additional advanced life support credentials preferred)
Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and prioritize tasks in high-pressure situations
Willingness to work a variable schedule, including multiple on-call shifts and weekends as required
Responsibilities:
Perform and assist with a variety of interventional radiology and Cath Lab procedures, ensuring patient safety and procedural efficiency
Prepare, operate, and maintain imaging equipment according to departmental and regulatory standards
Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other staff to deliver optimal patient care
Adhere to all infection control, quality assurance, and patient confidentiality policies
Respond promptly to emergency calls and maintain readiness during scheduled call hours
Uphold consistent, detailed documentation in compliance with hospital policy
