The Dining Room Manager is under the direction of the Assistant General Manager (AGM), the Dining Room Manager is a full-time position overseeing the professional and efficient management of front of house operations. Ensures the highest quality of service as meets expectations of Club members. Performs all work in accordance with essential functions and responsibilities as described below and in the spirit of the Club's mission and vision.

Responsibilities and Expectations:

Responsible for overseeing the successful management of dining room operations, and food service to areas beyond the general clubhouse dining areas to include the Men's Grille, Snack Stand, and Banquets. Ensures quality of product and service with intent to provide the highest level of member and guest dining satisfaction.

Manages and directs restaurant service staff: hosts, servers, bartenders, food runners, and server assistants. Responsible with F&B management staff for hiring, training, scheduling, and performance assessment. Ensures staff is always professional in appearance and performance.

Performs, or assists with, dining room set-up in anticipation of member and guest counts and needs.

Performs opening and/or closing procedures, as designated. At PM shift close accurately completes POS end of day processing and all required reports for each F&B outlet as determined by management.

Responds to and resolves complaints concerning food, beverage, and/or service. Engages with members as well as staff and is empathetic to the needs of both constituencies. Keeps management and AGM informed of problems and concerns.

Serves as liaison between the dining room and kitchen staff.

Performs and directs completion of all scheduled side work, including cleaning of dining areas and equipment and stocking of supplies. Assists with food, beverage, and equipment inventories, as needed.

Attends and conducts F&B related meetings as required.

Responsible for the correct appearance, cleanliness and safety of dining room areas, equipment and fixtures. Checks the maintenance of all equipment in the dining areas and reports deficiencies and maintenance concerns. Ensures front of house staff follow safety procedures.

Secures dining room and Clubhouse areas as designated.

Keeps informed of industry standards and trends. Pursues related continuing education and training opportunities

Necessary certifications and applicable professional affiliations.

Performs other duties as designated by the Assistant General Manager and senior management.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree or related hospitality degree is preferred

Five years of F&B experience; experience in all front of the house positions

Two years of private country club or fine dining room management experience

Physical Requirements, Working Conditions and Other factors:

Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously.

Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.

Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and subordinates.

Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.

Must be able to lift trays of food or food items weighing up to 15 lbs.

Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. occasionally.

Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch occasionally.

Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
