Adjunct Instructor, Fashion Design The Columbus College of Art & Design (CCAD) invites applicants for an adjunct instructor in the Fashion Design program.
Qualified candidates will be an expert in their field and bring industry knowledge and their own education experience, incorporating that with curriculum to provide a comprehensive experience to students that will help them develop the skills necessary to transition into the work force.
We are seeking qualified applicants who possess current subject matter expertise and/or teaching knowledge in the following course subject areas (but not limited to) Fashion Illustration, Flat Patternmaking (experience using Gerber Accumark software a plus), Draping, Tailoring, Fashion Construction Techniques, Surface Design (Screen-printing, working with dyes, shibori, silk painting, etc) as well as special topics courses in related areas.
The successful candidate will work closely with the program chair.
CCAD seeks a candidate who can collaboratively engage with faculty and mentor students.
The candidate must demonstrate strong leadership skills; show initiative, dependability, empathy, and reliability.
In addition, the candidate will possess the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities.
Responsibilities include preparing course materials, handouts, weekly student homework assignments, grading assignments and submitting grades using Moodle.
Position: Adjunct Instructor, part-time Qualifications: Terminal degree in Fashion Design or related field, and/or equivalent professional experience, and a minimum of three years of college level teaching experience is preferred.
