Compensation: $76/hour (W2) Conversion Salary: Up to $150,000/year

We are seeking a seasoned ENTERPRISE APPLICATION ARCHITECTto play a strategic role in shaping and governing enterprise-wide technology architecture within a core banking environment.

This role focuses on defining enterprise architecture standards, frameworks, and roadmaps that align technology investments with business strategy, regulatory requirements, and digital transformation initiatives across consumer, commercial, and corporate banking.

The ideal candidate brings strong full-stack development roots, deep core banking domain knowledge, enterprise architecture expertise, and experience operating in secure, regulated financial environments.Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain enterprise architecture blueprints across application, data, infrastructure, and security domains

Define and implement enterprise architecture vision, strategy, and governance frameworks

Establish architecture standards for responsive design, accessibility, and cross-platform compatibility

Align technology initiatives with business capabilities, regulatory requirements, and operational priorities

Lead architecture governance boards, standards enforcement, and solution alignment reviews

Define reusable reference architectures for cloud, API, integration, and data platforms

Evaluate emerging technologies (AI/ML, biometrics, real-time payments) for strategic adoption

Drive modernization of legacy banking systems and migration to hybrid/cloud environments

Ensure compliance with banking regulations such as GLBA, FFIEC, SOX, and BCBS 239

Mentor solution architects and technical leads across business unitsRequired Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field

10+ years of full-stack development and application architecture experience

Minimum 3+ years in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or technology strategy within digital banking or fintech

Strong hands-on experience in core banking domains including:

Core banking platforms

Lending systems

Payments

Digital banking channels

Risk management

Proven experience in enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF strongly preferred)

Experience with modeling languages such as ArchiMate and UML

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid architectures

Familiarity with enterprise architecture tools (LeanIX, Ardoq, MEGA, Sparx EA, etc.)Mandatory Requirements (Must-Haves)

Contract-to-hire role: $76/hour (W2) with conversion salary up to $150K/year

Strong and recent experience in core banking clients (avoid general financial services-heavy resumes)

Consistency in recent projects (minimum 2.53 years in recent engagements; no job hoppers)

No resumes with roles shorter than 8 months

Full-stack development background required (avoid pure data architecture/engineering backgrounds)

Enterprise Architect profile preferred (Solution Architect combination acceptable)

TOGAF certification required or highly advantageous

Must be willing to relocate if non-local (no commuting back and forth)Preferred Qualifications

AWS or Azure Architect certifications

Experience in core banking modernization or digital transformation initiatives

Exposure to AI/ML, cybersecurity, enterprise risk, and data governance programs
