Provn is hiring a Lead Solutions Architect supporting a Series A startup (backed by Foundry.vc and Next Frontier Capital) working on one of the hardest problems in AI right now: making frontier models safer through better evaluation, human feedback, and alignment data rooted in psychology and clinical expertise.

Comp: $200K-$250K OTE. Remote, US-based only.

This is the first Solutions Architect hire and a founding member of the go-to-market team. You'd work shoulder-to-shoulder with the Head of Sales and AEs on enterprise deals where the buyer is an ML platform lead, a safety and alignment team, or a data organization inside a frontier lab or application-layer company. Your job is to run technical discovery, shape the solution, and de-risk the deal. You'll also define how Solutions Architecture works here from scratch.

What you'll be doing:

Running technical discovery with ML platform teams, safety and alignment leads, and data leaders on enterprise and commercial opportunities

Owning technical validation end to end: architecture design, POCs, pilots, and security reviews

Designing integrations that connect the platform, APIs, and human services into customer AI/ML workflows

Advising customers on how to implement evaluation pipelines, human feedback loops, red teaming, and annotation systems in their environment

Building lightweight prototypes, scripts, and API integrations when a deal needs something tangible to move forward

Writing the Solutions Architect playbook from zero: engagement model, success metrics, demo assets, reference architectures

Carrying signal back from customer conversations into Product and Engineering to shape the roadmap

What we're looking for:

7+ years in Solutions Architecture, Sales Engineering, or a similar customer-facing technical role

Experience as a first or early SA at a startup, with a real zero-to-one track record

Enterprise SaaS sales experience, particularly with API-first or platform products

Proven success selling to ML and AI platform teams, data organizations, or developer-focused buyers

Comfort running complex, multi-stakeholder technical sales cycles

Familiarity with AI safety, evaluation, RLHF, red teaming, or human-in-the-loop data workflows

Strong grasp of APIs, system integrations, modern SaaS architectures, and data pipelines

Ability to build prototypes and lightweight integrations to unblock deals

A translator's instinct: you move fluidly between deep technical discussion and business stakeholder framing

High ownership, high curiosity, comfort building structure in ambiguity
