Pharmacy/ Inventory Technician

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Inventory & Pharmacy Technician to join our equine clinic team. This role is essential to maintaining accurate inventory levels, ensuring timely stocking of veterinary trucks, and supporting the safe handling and distribution of medications. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in equine medicine and a strong understanding of veterinary pharmaceutical practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Receive, inspect, and verify incoming inventory, including medications and medical supplies

Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels

Organize and stock veterinary trucks with necessary supplies and medications

Ensure proper storage and handling of pharmaceuticals in compliance with regulations

Assist veterinarians and staff with medication preparation and distribution as needed

Track expiration dates and manage rotation of stock

Coordinate with vendors to place orders and resolve discrepancies

Maintain cleanliness and organization of pharmacy and inventory areas

Qualifications:

Prior experience in a pharmacy or veterinary setting required

Knowledge of equine medications, treatments, and terminology

Strong organizational and time-management skills

Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping

Ability to lift and move inventory items (up to 40lbs)

Proficiency with inventory management systems is a plus

Certification as a Veterinary Technician or Pharmacy Technician preferred (not required)

Knowledge of EzyVet (preferred)

Work Environment:

Fast-paced equine clinic setting

Combination of indoor pharmacy work and outdoor/field support

May require occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekendsCompany Description
