The Council on Alcoholism & Drug Abuse (CADA) is seeking a Front Office Assistant for our Project Recovery Program in Santa Barbara to provide essential administrative support and customer service.
As the first point of contact for clients, youll welcome them as they begin their journey with our services! This role offers a unique and fulfilling experience, working closely with counselors and gaining insight into the administration of court-referred substance use programs. Youll be part of a dedicated team of Alcohol and Drug Counselors who assist individuals in the community seeking to restore their driving privileges or address workplace-related challenges through therapy.
This position is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in customer service, data entry, client support, care coordination, and an understanding of laws.
Qualifications:
One year of Front Desk/Administrative Assistant experience.
One year of Customer Service experience.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience working in a non-profit, social services setting.
Strong communication skills with multi-line telephone systems.
Excellent writing skills.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.Responsibilities:
Greets clients, provide information & connection to services
Inputs client data and maintains case files.
Schedules client-counselor appointments and compiles intake packets.
Assists with preparing reports.
Processes credit card, check, and cash payments for accounting.
Orders office supplies and manages printed materials.
Maintains pamphlet library and conference room calendar.
Organizes testing materials and testing area and ensures that protocols for testing area are posted and maintained, conducts testing as needed.
Assists staff with office inquiries and is knowledgeable about all CADA programs.
Provides administrative support to additional departments at Canon Perdido as assigned.This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week (Mon-Fri, 9:30am-6:30pm). This is an in-person position, and a successful candidate would be required onsite in Santa Barbara.
Compensation is dependent of the level of prior experience and qualifications, with a salary range of $20-$24, and a rate increase potential for bilingual (Spanish/English).
