Pay: $28.50/hr ($23.50/hr base + $5/hr shift premium)

Current Shift:

Monday–Thursday 6:00pm–6:00am

Future Weekend Shift (this person will move to weekend shift once opened, no tentative date yet):

Friday–Sunday 6:00am–6:00pm

Includes $6/hr shift premium

Location: Waterloo, IN

Position:

We’re looking for hands-on, mechanically minded operators who enjoy working with equipment, solving problems, and being part of a team that takes pride in what they produce.

If you like staying busy, learning new machines, and seeing the results of your work every day — this role is for you.

Operate automated manufacturing equipment to meet production goals

Produce assigned products with verbal and written instructions.

Complete equipment set-up procedures and preventative maintenance.

Use tools and measuring devices to maintain, adjust and repair equipment.

Accurately prepare all necessary production and maintenance reports daily.

Dismantle and reassemble heavy plant components using hoists and hand tools.

Complete minor repairs on equipment and refers issues to maintenance to avoid production delays.

Follow established guidelines on policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

Communicate any product discrepancies or equipment malfunctions to relieving operators and shift managers as part of the shift change procedure.

Required Skills/Abilities:

3+ of experience in a similar role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Experience with Front Line people Leadership

Basic computer skills required. Knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft tools a plus

Strong Data Driven core, with a proven ability to communicate performance, quality, safety, and overall process efficiency and inspire shop floor employees to succeed.

Ability to self-motivate, work autonomously and proactively.

Availability to work flexible hours and overtime including nights and weekends, when necessary.

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Nice to have (not required):

Basic Mechanical and electrical knowledge is a plus.

Prefers: Experience in manufacturing concrete and concrete products.

Experience with concrete manufacturing equipment: Masa, Hess, Omag, Columbia, Rekers and Besser etc. a plus.

The employee must frequently transport and move items up to 75 pounds and occasionally up to 80 pounds. Must be able to closely inspect materials and products. Employee must be able to identify color blends, variances, non-conforming color blends with up to three different colors on each product. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to remain stationary or move throughout the workstations; also includes the ability to ascend and descend steps and ladders; and position self in tight spaces. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, talk or hear.
