Assistant General Manager – Upscale High-Volume Restaurant
We are seeking a hands-on Assistant General Manager who thrives in a high-touch, high-volume upscale dining environment where leadership presence is essential.
This is a guest-facing leadership role in a refined, high-energy service setting where consistency, hospitality, and floor presence define success.
What You Will Do
Lead daily FOH operations with a visible, guest-facing leadership style
Support the General Manager in driving sales, service execution, and team accountability
Build strong relationships with regular guests in a highly personalized service culture
Maintain polished service standards during high-volume peak periods
Train and develop FOH staff in elevated hospitality execution
Support financial performance and bonus-driven sales goals
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are NOT seeking QSR or casual dining backgrounds.
Strong candidates come from:
Upscale independent restaurants (bistro, fine dining, chef-driven concepts)
NYC-style or high-end urban dining environments
High-volume, polished service operations
Strong guest engagement + visible floor leadership experience
You should be comfortable running a room, engaging guests, and leading service in real time.
Must Have
FOH leadership experience (AGM, Service Manager, or senior floor role)
Background in high-check, upscale dining environments
Ability to balance volume with refined service standards
Hands-on leadership style (not office-based management)
Comfort with performance-based bonus structure
Not a Fit
QSR / fast food / fast casual backgrounds
Banquet-only or low-guest interaction roles
Corporate-only management with no floor presence
Operators who avoid direct guest engagement

Compensation
$75,000 base salary + up to $1,200/month performance bonus
