Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity for an entry-level engineer to make a significant impact on engineering teams. The role involves acting as a liaison between Quality and Production while analyzing CMM Data. The position also entails involvement in budgeting, purchasing of tooling, parts, and PPE, ensuring that each team has the necessary resources to accomplish their projects. You will work with simple designs for layouts to justify equipment positioning in the plant. This position applies engineering principles and techniques to establish, maintain, and continuously improve stamping manufacturing processes, fully supporting the Manufacturing Engineering team to improve workflow, increase efficiency, and reduce costs.

Responsibilities

Act as a liaison between Quality and Production teams.

Analyze CMM Data to improve processes.

Involve in budgeting and purchasing of tooling, parts, and PPE.

Ensure teams have necessary resources for project completion.

Work on simple designs for layout justification of equipment positioning.

Apply engineering principles to improve stamping manufacturing processes.

Support the Manufacturing Engineering team in improving workflow and efficiency.

Bridge the gap between production, engineering, maintenance, quality, and management.

Essential Skills

Minimum Associate’s Degree in Drafting & Design, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

Proven problem-solving ability.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in manufacturing engineering or related field.

Demonstrated ability to accomplish tasks and objectives.

Microsoft Office Knowledge.

Working knowledge of CAD drafting.

Excellent communication skills.

Project management experience.

AS or BS in Mechanical Engineering.

SolidWorks, CAD software knowledge.

Lean manufacturing and process improvement skills.

Work Environment

The position is based in a stamping project at a plant in TN, which runs stamping for a plant in Canada until the TN plant is fully operational. This role offers an excellent opportunity to engage with the engineering team and potentially transition to production once the plant is in full operationJob Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Stanton, TN.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
