Web Application Developer
Description:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o BS in computer engineering/science or equivalent
o 5 plus years of software development experiences using Java/Spring Boot and Python
o Workflow automation experiences using workflow engine like Camunda
o Hands on experiences deploying software using DevOps pipeline
o Experience implementing automated end-to-end tests, API tests
o Experiences working in an Agile software development environment;
o Experiences with Jira, Git, AI-enabled IDE like Claude Code
o Experiences/familiarity with building AI-enabled applications using RAG, MCP, Agents, LLMs
o You love challenging yourself to constantly improve and sharing your knowledge to empower others.
o You view processes as a means and not an end, preferring lean or automated approaches to ensure quality and productivity.
o You are not satisfied with the status quo and are always looking to improve how things are done and what is built.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Researches, designs, develops, tests, analyzes and repairs applications software for use in operating/controlling computer hardware. Work involves:
o Writing new programs and enhancing and modifying existing programs for compilers and assemblers, device drivers, utility programs and operating systems.
o Determines computer user needs. Prepares operating instructions and project documentation.
o Devises, develops, implements and manages project plans, budgets and schedules.
o Applies knowledge of software application concepts, programming languages, techniques and controls, output requirements and input data acquisition.
o Designing, implementing, testing web-based workflow automation solutions, and services (APIs) running on AWS and Azure including new features and enhancements.
o Participating in and collaborating with Product owner, team leads, and other developers to constructing feature requirements and specifications.
o Produce prototype features quickly and participate in gathering feedback from users.
o Bring innovation to the team in new features, improving build processes and product development lifecycle using AI-enabled tools like Claude Code.
o Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to increase code efficiency, maintainability and robustness.
o Support and debug production level issues and provide fixes in an expedient manner.
o Mentor junior engineers on best practices in software development.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
BS in computer engineering/science or equivalent.
Degree must be accredited.
WORK HOURS:
Full time. 8am-4pm
