Position Summary

Reporting to the Director of Quality & Compliance, the Quality & Continuous Improvement Specialist is responsible for driving improvements in quality performance, process consistency, and compliance adherence across pharmacy, warehouse, and operational workflows. This role focuses on identifying quality gaps, analyzing trends, and implementing sustainable process improvements to enhance accuracy, reduce variability, and strengthen audit readiness.

We are seeking a Quality & Continuous Improvement Specialist to partner closely with Compliance, QMS, Operational Excellence, and Operations teams to improve quality metrics, standardize processes, and ensure adherence to regulatory and internal quality standards. The position plays a key role in fostering a culture of continuous improvement while ensuring quality outcomes align with company and regulatory expectations., ensuring alignment with organizational goals, operational excellence, and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Monitors, analyzes, and reports quality metrics to identify trends, gaps, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement

Supports quality-focused continuous improvement initiatives across pharmacy and operational workflows to enhance performance and consistency

Standardizes processes and promotes consistent execution across operations to support quality, compliance, and efficiency

Conducts quality audits, reviews, and gap analyses to assess process effectiveness and identify areas requiring corrective action

Supports root cause analysis for quality issues and implements sustainable corrective and preventive actions

Develops, supports, and delivers training related to quality improvements, process changes, and documentation standards

Partners with Compliance and QMS teams to ensure regulatory alignment and support audit readiness through accurate documentation and reportingQualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in quality management, healthcare, business, operations management, or related field (Required)

Quality or compliance-related certifications

Licensure/Certification: Lean Six Sigma certification (Preferred)

Experience:

3–5 years of experience in quality, compliance, or process improvement roles (Required)

Experience in regulated environments (Required)

Experience with quality dashboards and reporting tools (Preferred)

Experience in pharmacy, healthcare, or logistics operations (Preferred)

Experience supporting audits or regulatory inspections (Preferred)

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Knowledge of quality management principles in regulated environments; Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and data integrity standards; process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, continuous improvement); and audit readiness and compliance expectations (Required)

Knowledge of pharmacy or healthcare operational workflows; QMS systems and quality tracking tools; and regulatory frameworks (FDA, Board of Pharmacy, etc.) (Required)

Data analysis and trend identification skills (Required)

Process mapping and workflow improvement skills (Required)

Root cause analysis and problem-solving skills (Required)

Cross-functional collaboration skills (Required)

Facilitation of improvement initiatives or workshops skills (Preferred)

Abilities to identify quality risks and process inconsistencies (Required)

Ability to translate findings into actionable improvements (Required)

Ability to Influence teams to adopt standardized processes (Required)

Ability to anticipate quality issues and proactively implement preventative improvements (Preferred)

Work Environment

Location: On-site

Schedule: 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday with night and weekend hours on occasion as determined by the needs of the business and cross-facility travel as needed

Regular meetings with internal Pharmacy Operations, Operational Excellence, Warehouse, Logistics, Compliance, and Quality teams. This role may also have meetings with external audit and regulatory partner representatives.

Key Essential Functions

Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while writing or reviewing documentation

Must be able to work on a computer for the entire shift

Must be able to attend virtual meetings with cross-functional teams.Employment Classification
