DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL (DSP) - Day Services

We are seeking compassionate, motivated Direct Support Professionals to support people with disabilities in engaging Day Habilitation and community-based settings. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting skill development, encouraging healthy lifestyles, and fostering community inclusion. Through daily interactions-whether offering guidance, motivation, or hands-on support-you will help people gain confidence, achieve personal goals, and live fuller, more independent lives.

Direct Support Professional (DSP) Responsibilities:

DSPs support people in maintaining safe, healthy, and fulfilling lives within the community. Responsibilities include assisting with transportation, attending medical and community appointments, and supporting daily living activities. DSPs implement individualized care plans, follow established guidelines, and administer medications accurately and responsibly. Working closely with families, nurses, healthcare providers, and case managers, DSPs are key members of an interdisciplinary support team focused on enhancing quality of life. In addition, DSPs provide emotional support, encouragement, and strong advocacy-ensuring each person's needs, choices, and rights are respected at all times.

Location: Clinton Street Seneca Falls

Pay Rate: $17.92 - $18.67 per hour, based on experience!

Direct Support Professional (DSP) Hours:

Monday - Friday, with some planned evenings and weekends

Day Shift: 8am to 3pm but hours will vary

Direct Support Professional (DSP) Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent is required. Minimally one-year experience working with people with developmental disabilities or an associate degree in human services or a related field is required.

A valid Driver's License is required.

Experience in the Human Services field or as a Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is a valuable bonus!
