Lead CNC Lathe Programmer-Operator

Where: Sumner, WA Compensation: $30 - $40/hr D.O.E. Schedule: M - F 1st Shift Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

Impact critical aerospace/aviation components on state-of-the-art CNC lathes

Guide a small, agile team (1–3) and own production scheduling across two shifts

Blend hands-on machining with leadership, quality, and documentation excellence What you’ll do

Set up and run 2-axis and multi-axis CNC lathes with sub-spindles

Plan fixtures and tooling to match work orders; keep machines producing quality parts

Perform in-process inspections with precision tools; drive continuous improvement

Create and edit basic MasterCAM programs for lathe operations

Maintain and update set-up sheets and ensure accurate labor/time/paperwork entries

Coordinate closely with Programming, Tooling, the Production Scheduler, and the General Manager

Model safe practices, PPE compliance, and a clean, organized workspace What you bring

High School Diploma or equivalent

3+ years as a machine shop lead and 5+ years CNC lathe machining

Detail-driven mindset with strong problem-solving and communication skills (English)

Dependable leader and team player with excellent attendance and time management

Comfort standing for extended periods in a warehouse manufacturing setting Core competencies

Troubleshooting and root-cause analysis

CNC programming proficiency: G-Code and M-Code

Set-up/changeover for production machining

Precision hand metrology; advanced inspection and gauge measurement

Repeatable production run set-ups and blueprint interpretation

Experience in fast-paced manufacturing environments Mandatory hiring criteria (verbatim)
