Elementary Principal

Position Summary
The Elementary Principal serves as the instructional and administrative leader of an assigned elementary school within the Holmes County Consolidated School District. Reporting directly to the Superintendent, the Principal is responsible for fostering a positive school culture, ensuring high-quality instruction, supporting student achievement, and managing the daily operations of the school. The Principal works collaboratively with district leadership, staff, students, families, and the community to ensure a safe, supportive, and effective learning environment.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide instructional leadership that promotes high levels of student achievement and continuous improvement.
Support the Superintendent in advancing district goals, priorities, and initiatives.
Supervise and evaluate instructional and support staff in accordance with district policies and procedures.
Ensure curriculum implementation aligns with Mississippi College- and Career-Readiness Standards.
Promote effective instructional practices and data-driven decision-making.
Establish and maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe school climate.
Oversee daily school operations, including scheduling, student discipline, attendance, and safety procedures.
Develop and monitor the school improvement plan in alignment with district objectives.
Manage school budgets, resources, and inventory effectively.
Communicate regularly and effectively with staff, parents, and the community.
Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal policies and regulations.
Support student services, intervention programs, and family engagement efforts.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.
Preferred Qualifications
Valid Mississippi Educator 486 License
Master's degree in Educational Leadership, Educational Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of five (5) years of successful experience in education, including classroom teaching.
Demonstrated knowledge of elementary curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
Experience in school administration or instructional leadership.
Prior experience as an elementary principal or assistant principal.
Experience leading school improvement initiatives.
Strong background in data analysis and instructional coaching.
Experience working with diverse student populations.

Contract and Salary
224 Days per year - confirm this before finalizing
Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications and consistent with district administrative salary schedules
