Job Title: EHS Manager - Watertown, SD

Location: Watertown, South Dakota

Position Overview

Glacial Lakes Energy is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead site safety and environmental compliance programs. This role drives a strong safety culture, ensures regulatory compliance, and supports continuous improvement initiatives impacting employee safety and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement EHS policies, programs, and training

Promote safety awareness and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations

Investigate incidents and near misses; implement corrective actions

Manage Workers' Compensation in partnership with HR

Lead environmental compliance efforts, including permits and reporting

Monitor emissions and maintain EPA and state compliance

Oversee safety and environmental teams

Maintain programs such as SWPPP, SPCC, and DOT security plans

Drive continuous improvement and hazard identification

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, EHS, or related field preferred

5-7 years of experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role

Experience with water/wastewater compliance preferred

Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, Clean Air Act, and Clean Water Act

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

First Aid/CPR/AED certification preferred
