Columbus, Ohio Hybrid Schedule

Salary range: $100,000-$120,000

We're partnering with a mission-driven healthcare organization in the Columbus area to hire a Controller to oversee accounting operations and support financial leadership. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on ownership, collaboration with leadership, and working in a purpose-focused healthcare environment.

This role offers a hybrid schedule and exposure to complex healthcare finance, with Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) experience considered a strong plus.

What you'll be responsible for:

Overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting

Preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Managing audit preparation and serving as a key point of contact for external auditors

Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in partnership with leadership

Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, grant requirements, and internal controls

Leading, mentoring, and developing accounting staff

What they're looking for:

Accounting or finance background within healthcare (ambulatory, nonprofit, hospital, or community health settings)

Experience serving in a controller or senior accounting role

FQHC, grant accounting, or Medicaid/Medicare reimbursement exposure is a plus

Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls

Hands-on, collaborative leadership style with strong communication skills
