Under the general supervision of the Circulation and User Services Manager, participate in the daily activities of the public services desks, assist with the training and supervision of student assistants across all branches of the library, physically maintain library collections, and assist library users with a variety of information and technical questions.
Be available for occasional on-call work at time of staff vacations or illness.The hourly range for this position is expected to be: $19.00 Education/Skills Requirements A high school diploma or GED equivalent and some college (or equivalent combination of education and experience) required.
Applicants must possess outstanding interpersonal, customer service, and written and oral communication skills.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills are necessary.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office required.
Experience Requirements and/or Equivalents Required: One year of library, customer service or related experience.
Preferred: Experience working at a library's circulation desk and with an automated circulation system.
