Pay: $23 - $32 per hour, based on experience

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Concrete Finisher to join our team. This role is responsible for placing, finishing, protecting, and repairing concrete on a variety of job sites.

This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday, with overtime opportunities and occasional weekend work. Start times may vary, including early mornings (as early as 6:00 AM).

Employees are eligible for benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401K) after completing a 90-day probationary period.

Key Responsibilities

Place, level, and finish concrete to specified grade and depth

Operate screeds, trowels, floats, and other finishing tools (hand and power)

Cut joints and grooves to control cracking

Monitor weather conditions and adjust finishing techniques accordingly

Signal and direct concrete truck placement and pouring

Smooth, level, and finish surfaces; remove defects and patch as needed

Set, align, and remove concrete forms

Perform repairs on existing concrete surfaces

Apply curing, sealing, and waterproofing compounds

Install anchor bolts, embeds, and other fixtures in fresh concrete

Use vibrators to eliminate air pockets and ensure proper consolidation

Maintain clean and safe job sites, including proper disposal of materials

Communicate effectively with Foreman regarding materials, issues, and safety concerns

Train and assist laborers in finishing techniques and best practices

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of construction experience, including 2+ years as a Concrete Finisher

Strong knowledge of finishing techniques (trowel, float, broom, edging, jointing, etc.)

Ability to read grades, measurements, and job specifications

Ability to obtain OSHA 10 certification and First Aid certification

Strong math, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills

Experience selecting, operating, and maintaining tools and equipment

Effective communication skills and ability to lead by example

Valid US Drivers License

Physical Requirements

Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions, including heat over 100 ree;F

Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and twist throughout the workday

Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs

Strong physical stamina, coordination, and manual dexterity

Ability to safely operate and control tools and machinery with precision
