Salary: Minimum $20.00/hour - Maximum $22.00/hour
Type: Part-Time – Non-Exempt
Schedule: Up to 30 hours per week
Reports to: Youth Development Director

What You’ll Do
Transportation & Safety
Safely transport children and staff to and from YMCA programs, schools, and approved locations
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe operating conditions
Maintain order, safety, and appropriate supervision of all passengers during transport
Follow all traffic laws, YMCA policies, and transportation safety regulations
Youth Supervision & Risk Management
Ensure all participants are properly accounted for during transport
Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with youth at all times
Follow established procedures for supervising youth and managing high-risk activities
Promptly report accidents, incidents, unsafe conditions, or policy violations
Comply with all mandated abuse reporting requirements
Operational Support
Maintain accurate transportation logs and documentation
Report vehicle maintenance needs or safety concerns promptly
Support program staff with loading and unloading participants safely
Attend required trainings, including abuse risk management and safety training
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required
Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
Ability to safely operate YMCA vehicle or bus
Ability to supervise children in a transportation setting
Strong communication, reliability, and professionalism
Previous experience driving a bus or transporting children
