Responsible for monitoring and controlling project performance across cost and schedule dimensions for high revenue generating projects.
Ensures accurate cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting, while supporting project teams in maintaining control over budgets, timelines, and overall project performance.
Solid understanding of project controls principles (cost control and schedule awareness.
Experience in cost forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
Familiarity with project control tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems, Primavera P6 or similar).
Understanding of project lifecycle, change management, and cost reporting structures.
Knowledge of financial controls and basic accounting principles related to projects.
Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) is an advantage.
Strategic Responsibilities:
Support the establishment and maintenance of project control frameworks, standards, and reporting structures.
Contribute to the development of cost control procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide financial and performance insights to support project-level decision-making.
Ensure alignment of project control activities with organizational policies and governance requirements.
Operational Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain project cost baselines, budgets, and cash flow forecasts.
Monitor project expenditures and commitments against approved budgets.
Prepare and update cost forecasts and track financial performance.
Perform cost and schedule variance analysis, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
Prepare periodic project control reports, dashboards, and performance summaries.
Support chance management processes by evaluating cost impacts of variations and claims.
Coordinate with project managers, planners, procurement, and finance teams to ensure alignment across cost, schedule, and scope.
Maintain project control systems, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and proper coding structures.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, procedures, and audit requirements.
People Management:
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate input to project control processes.
Promote adherence to project control procedures and best practices across project teams.
