A respected law firm based in Tucson, Arizona is seeking an attorney to join its growing practice, focused primarily on family law with some criminal defense matters. The firm is led by an experienced attorney who is committed to mentoring the right candidate and is supported by a strong team of seasoned paralegals, administrative staff, and legal support professionals.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys litigation, wants meaningful courtroom experience, and is looking to grow under the guidance of an experienced practitioner. While the firm is open to training someone on the substantive practice areas, candidates must already be comfortable in the courtroom and bring prior trial or hearing experience.

Responsibilities

Represent clients in family law matters including divorce, custody, child support, and related domestic cases

Assist with select criminal defense matters including hearings, negotiations, and related proceedings

Handle courtroom appearances, evidentiary hearings, and trial-related matters with confidence

Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and trial materials

Work closely with experienced support staff in a modern, paperless office environment

Maintain consistent communication with clients and provide high-level client service

Manage deadlines, case strategy, and billable expectations effectively

Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school

Licensed in Arizona or pending admission

Prior courtroom, hearing, or trial experience required

Comfortable handling court appearances with minimal supervision

Strong writing, organizational, and communication skills

Self-motivated, dependable, and able to manage responsibilities independently

Genuine interest in family law litigation

Spanish fluency highly preferred

Compensation & Benefits

$70,000 – $130,000 annual base salary, depending on experience
