Job Description

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years OR RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Schedule/Hours:

Qualifications:

Active and unencumbered RN license

Current certification in BLS (Basic Life Support); ACLS preferred

1+ year of recent experience in the Operating Room (OR) environment

Proficiency with sterile technique and surgical instrumentation

Excellent assessment, critical-thinking, and communication skills

Ability to remain composed and effective in high-pressure situations

Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care during pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases

Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs for optimal outcomes

Prepare the operating room by verifying and setting up necessary surgical equipment and supplies

Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, including maintenance of sterile fields

Monitor patient status, document medical records accurately, and assist in emergency interventions when needed

Advocate for patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process
