What You’ll Do

Lead the technical operations of your assigned laboratory section, ensuring all procedures meet established policies and standards

Partner closely with the Lab Director/Manager to support departmental goals and initiatives

Maintain compliance with CAP standards, driving excellence in quality, safety, and efficiency

Monitor and communicate performance issues, unusual occurrences, and development progress to leadership

Proactively identify and resolve operational challenges while ensuring accuracy of testing methods and instrumentation

Review laboratory reports for accuracy, including reference lab results, before release

Oversee inventory and participate in cost analysis for current and new testing procedures

Manage team scheduling, workload distribution, and staff development—including orientation and training

Ensure timely completion and reporting of all lab work

Step in as a bench technologist when needed to support workflow and maintain productivity
