QA/QC Engineer Electrical Location: Columbus, OH Type: Contract + per diem Industry: Mission Critical Data Center Overview This role ensures that all electrical systems are installed, tested, and functioning according to design specifications, industry standards, and client requirements.
This role is pivotal in ensuring the electrical infrastructure meets the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance during the commissioning phase of hyperscale and enterprise-level data centers.
Key Responsibilities * Conduct thorough inspections of electrical systems including switchgear, UPS, generators, PDUs, grounding systems, and distribution panels.

* Witness and validate functional testing, load bank testing, and integrated systems testing (L2/L3 to IST) * Ability to read single line diagrams.
* Extensive hands-on experience inspecting switchgear (up to 15kV), transformers, bus duct, generators, cable trays, and grounding systems.
* Experience creating managing inspection test plans (ITPs), QC procedures, NCRs, O&M manuals, and turnover packages; * Deeply experienced with LOTO procedures, NEC, and testing/verification (megger, torque, continuity, insulation resistance, etc.). * Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) as needed.
* Document and report deficiencies, track corrective actions, and ensure resolution prior to turnover.
* Issue resolution compliance and knowledge within Mission Critical platform to document and resolve.
* Maintain detailed inspection logs, punch lists, and quality documentation.
* Ensure all electrical work complies with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
* Implement and maintain quality control protocols throughout the commissioning lifecycle.
Qualifications * Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, LOTO standards, and electrical testing protocols.
* Familiarity with commissioning software and reporting tools * Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments with multiple stakeholders.
* Working on a previous Microsoft or AWS projects a plus.
