Position Summary:

To fully understand & operate all chemical, paint, PLC, conveyor, spraying, washer & oven processes. This would include performing all laboratory analysis and maintaining all mechanical & chemical processing. This person would need to become an expert on all major operating systems in order to provide technical support for production problems related to the equipment & process. Required Skills

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Learn & understand the basic chemical & mechanical operations of the system.

Set up, monitor & maintain chemical & paint manufacturing processes.

Take ownership of the entire operating processes & their control systems.

Ability to perform maintenance duties as required including rebuilding & maintaining of all valves, gages, pumps, PLC programs, & other operational devices (to name a few).

Maintain operational & maintenance records including chemical & paint usages.

Maintain work areas in good state of housekeeping and participate in 5S objectives.

Perform other essential functions as required or assigned by Supervisor or Engineer

Actively supports all quality, environmental, health and safety systems and programs.

Required Experience

Minimum Preferred Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required

Technical background is preferred

Two year technical degree in chemical, mechanical or electronics technology (PLC) a plus

Knowledge of basic chemistry and laboratory standard practices preferred

A good mechanical aptitude

Ability to learn quickly & perform under pressure

Ability to understand technical prints, documents & processes

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

Good reasoning & troubleshooting skills a must

Strong organizational skills.

Working knowledge and application of SPC and quality control methods.

Self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team environment with minimal supervision.

Proven ability to support and assist in product and process development trials and functions.

Ability to work in a multi-tasking environment.

Additional schooling may be required to meet the minimum skills required Able to work all shifts and overtime as required.
