Pay: $22.00 – $24.00/hour (DOE)

Key Staffing is partnering with a well-established and growing food production company in the Central Valley. This organization is known for its commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. They are seeking a Sanitation Lead to oversee sanitation operations and ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Position Overview

The Sanitation Lead is responsible for coordinating and leading the sanitation team to ensure a clean, safe, and compliant production environment. This role plays a critical part in maintaining GMP standards, supporting production readiness, and driving efficiency within sanitation processes.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate daily sanitation team activities to meet department goals

Ensure compliance with GMPs, SSOPs, and food safety standards

Inspect equipment, materials, and completed work to identify issues or deficiencies

Monitor sanitation effectiveness and report any concerns, trends, or improvement opportunities

Maintain and update sanitation documentation (MSSs, SSOPs, and related records) as directed

Conduct daily team meetings to communicate priorities, expectations, and safety practices

Ensure proper handling, labeling, and usage of all sanitation chemicals

Support continuous improvement initiatives within the sanitation department

Mentor and coach team members to meet performance expectations and KPIs

Report performance issues or operational challenges to leadership

Qualifications

Previous experience in sanitation within a food manufacturing environment preferred

Strong knowledge of GMPs, sanitation procedures, and food safety regulations

Ability to lead, train, and hold team members accountable

Comfortable working with and handling sanitation chemicals safely

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Ability to track and report on KPIs and sanitation performance metrics

Strong communication and leadership skills
