Job Description
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Site Controller for a client to serve as the senior financial leader for the manufacturing location, overseeing all accounting, costing, and reporting activities. This individual partners closely with plant leadership to provide financial insight, ensure strong controls, and support operational and strategic decision-making. The role is critical to driving cost discipline, inventory accuracy, capital planning, and overall financial performance at the plant level.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of plant financial results, including profit and loss, balance sheet activity, and key performance drivers
Prepare post-close financial analysis, operational reporting, and clear, actionable commentary for plant leadership
Coordinate and manage the annual operating budget and periodic forecasts for the facility
Develop, maintain, and analyze standard product and manufacturing costs
Provide financial analysis and decision support to regional and corporate finance leadership as needed
Partner with plant management to improve operational efficiency, profitability, and cost control
Evaluate the financial impact of current operations, proposed initiatives, and business decisions
Proactively identify financial and operational risks and lead data-driven analyses to support corrective actions
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and internal control requirements
Oversee inventory controls, including cycle counts and annual physical inventories
Support capital expenditure planning, financial justification, and tracking of approved projects
Monitor and report on cost-reduction and performance improvement initiatives
Perform special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as required
Support continuous improvement initiatives by validating financial results and collaborating on new operational projects Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA, CMA, MBA, or equivalent advanced credentials preferred
Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in cost accounting, financial analysis, or manufacturing finance
Strong knowledge of management accounting, inventory and cost accounting, and GAAP
Proven analytical skills with the ability to quickly identify key drivers impacting plant financial performance
Advanced proficiency with financial systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to lead processes, manage projects, and work independently in a manufacturing environment
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships across plant and functional teams
Strong customer-service mindset and collaborative approach to problem solving Pay Details: $130,000.00 to $140,000.00 per year
