Job Description

Are you a well rounds skilled technician that has experience with complex maintenance repair and operational task including water systems, sewer systems, tower sites, and general building maintenance. ? We’re looking for a dedicated Maintenance Technician 2 to join our team at the County of Adams and want to hear from you!

The Maintenance Technician 2 performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled work in the construction, maintenance, repair, and renovation of County buildings, facilities, and equipment. The role requires the ability to work independently or as part of a team to ensure that facilities are safe, functional, and well maintained.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED

3-5 years experience as a maintenance technician

Broad knowledge of:

Plumbing

Electrical Systems

Carpentry

Painting

Mechanical systems

Snow plows, tractors, skid loaders

Additional skills are considered a plus.

This position is subject to FBI fingerprinting before hire and during employment

Physical Requirements:

Must be comfortable working in secure surroundings, tight places and in high places (this role requires physical ability to climb and work at heights of at least 20 feet).

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis

Ability to lift up to 75 lbs independently and 100 lbs with assistance.

Compensation is competitive and based on experience.
