• Diagnosing and configuring motion control systems, including servo motor amplifiers and drives, controllers, encoders, and resolvers. Troubleshooting Emerson and Allen-Bradley motion platforms.
• Configuring and troubleshooting variable frequency drive systems from basic to advanced parameter levels.
• Troubleshooting device networks including Ethernet and related industrial communication technologies.
• Calibrating and troubleshooting instrumentation devices including flow transmitters, temperature transmitters, and pressure transducers.
• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and code. Sourcing technical datasheets from manufacturer resources to support diagnostics.
• Completing preventive maintenance tasks and coordinating repairs on processing and packaging equipment in partnership with the broader maintenance team.
• Participating in GMP, 5S, and safety audits, and supporting a culture of continuous improvement across the operation.
• Ensuring all food safety and regulatory requirements are met through established programs and safe work practices.
WHAT YOU BRING
• Three or more years of controls experience in a production, food manufacturing, or similarly complex automated environment. (This is a high-skill role and we are looking for someone who has done this work and done it well.)
• Extensive hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, specifically Logix 500 and Logix 5000. This is required.
• Strong working knowledge of HMI systems, motion control platforms, VFDs, and device-level network troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and work from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control drawings.
• Solid PC skills including Microsoft Office and CMMS platforms.
• A Bachelor's degree in a technical field is preferred. An equivalent combination of associate-level education and demonstrated technical experience will be considered.
• Strong communication skills. You can explain what happened, what you did, and what needs to happen next to both technical and non-technical teammates.
• The ability to work calmly and methodically under pressure. You do not panic when something breaks. You get to work.
WHAT WE OFFER
• $32.00 to $38.00 per hour, commensurate with experience. (Relocation assistance)
• Quarterly attendance bonus.
• Medical, dental, and vision insurance with a 24/7 nurse hotline.

• Paid time off.
• Employee assistance program and wellbeing solutions.
• Health savings account and flexible spending account options.
• Referral bonus program.
• Real advancement opportunities for technicians who are ready to grow into lead or engineering-adjacent roles.
A Note on Growth
Our client is not a place where skilled technicians hit a ceiling. We recognize that people with your level of expertise are rare, and we take this role seriously. If you want to grow into a lead tech or cross into process engineering over time, we want to have that conversation.
