Job Details

Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,750 – $1,840

Assignment Type: Travel Contract (Travel Nurse / Travel Registered Nurse)

Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 27, 2026)

Setting: Operating Room (OR) – perioperative / surgical services

Shift: Days – 4 x 10-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM) with on-call responsibilities

Hours per Week: 40

Location: Crestview, FL 32539 (Okaloosa County / Northwest Florida / near the Emerald Coast)

Job Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience as an OR Circulator RN (perioperative nursing / surgical RN)

Active RN license (compact license preferred for travel nurses)

ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications (AHA or American Red Cross)

Experience with robotic surgery preferred; familiarity with laparoscopic and open cases a plus

Strong teamwork, communication, and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary surgical team

Knowledge of sterile technique, surgical counts, instrumentation, and perioperative patient safety protocols

Responsibilities

Provide safe, high-quality perioperative care as an OR Circulator and scrub/assist as needed during surgical cases

Demonstrate critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in the operating room

Anticipate and plan for patient care needs throughout surgical procedures to support optimal patient outcomes

Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, OR techs, and other staff to ensure efficient case flow

Ensure supplies, instrumentation, and equipment are available and sterile; maintain accurate surgical counts

Communicate effectively with families and surgical teams; update physician preference cards and document care in the EMR

Support and supervise personnel delivering patient care in the OR and contribute to a culture of patient safety
