Full-time On-campus role

UHP is building one of the most advanced trade training environments in the country-combining hands-on instruction with simulation, immersive VR training, and AI-supported learning systems. Our goal is to modernize skilled trades education and accelerate the development of the next generation of highly skilled electricians and trades professionals.

We are seeking an experienced Electrical School Director to lead the design, launch, and operation of a high-quality electrical training program. This role provides strategic leadership for the program, oversees curriculum development, recruits and mentors instructors, and ensures the training program aligns with industry standards, safety requirements, and workforce needs.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for someone with deep electrical trade expertise who is excited about shaping the future of skilled trades education.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and launch of a comprehensive electrical training program

Develop curriculum aligned with NEC standards, NCCER frameworks, and industry best practices

Recruit, hire, train, and mentor electrical instructors

Establish instructional standards and evaluation processes

Ensure hands-on lab instruction meets all safety, quality, and educational standards

Integrate modern training technologies including simulation, AI-assisted instruction, and immersive VR learning tools

Establish program goals, learning outcomes, and performance metrics

Manage training facilities, lab equipment, and instructional resources

Ensure compliance with applicable safety standards, codes, and accreditation requirements

Collaborate with administration, industry partners, and workforce stakeholders

Build relationships with contractors and employers to support workforce development and job placement opportunities

Foster a professional, safety-focused learning environment for students and instructors

Qualifications

Master Electrician license required

10+ years of experience working in the electrical trade

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, NEC codes, tools, and safety practices

Leadership experience supervising teams, apprentices, or instructors

Experience developing or implementing training programs, curriculum, or apprenticeship programs preferred

NCCER Instructor Certification preferred

Prior experience teaching or training apprentices, trades students, or electrical technicians is a plus

Interest in modernizing trade education through emerging technologies such as simulation, VR/AR, or AI-supported training tools

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
