About Aspen Earthworks

Aspen Earthworks is a leading civil construction and site development company serving Northern Nevada. We specialize in excavation, underground utilities, concrete, paving, and full-service earthwork solutions.

Our success is built on strong execution, trusted relationships, and a team culture rooted in three core values:

• Integrity — We do what’s right, always

• Reputation — We take pride in the trust we’ve earned

• Resilience — We push through challenges and deliver results

Position Summary

Aspen Earthworks is seeking a Project Manager to take full ownership of project execution from preconstruction through closeout, with a focus on budget, schedule, and client relationships.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving financial performance, operational alignment, and successful project delivery.

The Project Manager works closely with superintendents, estimators, clients, and subcontractors and is accountable for ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to Aspen’s standard of execution.

Key Responsibilities

Project Ownership & Execution

• Own the full lifecycle of projects from handoff through closeout

• Align field operations, schedule, and budget to ensure successful execution

• Maintain control of project scope, sequencing, and deliverables

• Drive decision-making to keep projects moving forward

Financial Management & Cost Control

• Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking

• Monitor job cost reports, production, and margin performance

• Identify risks early and implement corrective actions

• Manage change orders, billing, and cost recovery

• Ensure accurate and timely monthly financial reporting

Planning, Scheduling & Coordination

• Develop and maintain project schedules in coordination with field leadership

• Lead lookahead planning (2-week and 6-week) with superintendents

• Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractors

• Remove constraints that impact schedule and production

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, general contractors, and key stakeholders

• Build and maintain strong relationships through consistent communication and follow-through

• Lead project meetings and ensure alignment across all parties

• Represent Aspen professionally in all interactions

Contract Management & Documentation

• Manage contracts, subcontracts, and project documentation

• Review plans, specifications, and contract requirements

• Oversee RFIs, submittals, and change management processes

• Ensure proper documentation for claims, delays, and scope changes

Field Collaboration & Support

• Work closely with superintendents to align field execution with project strategy

• Support field teams in problem-solving, logistics, and coordination

• Ensure field operations have the resources needed to perform efficiently

• Stay engaged in the field — not just behind a desk

Risk Management

• Identify project risks related to cost, schedule, safety, and quality

• Proactively address issues before they impact performance

• Ensure compliance with contract requirements and regulatory standards

Project Closeout

• Oversee final billing, retention, and financial reconciliation

• Ensure completion of punch lists, as-builts, and turnover documentation

• Deliver clean project closeout with strong client satisfaction

What Success Looks Like

The right candidate will bring ownership, clarity, and strong execution while embodying Aspen’s core values:

• Deliver projects on schedule and within budget with strong margins

• Build trust with clients through consistent communication and execution

• Solve problems early and drive projects forward without hesitation
