Senior Java Developer - Algo

My client a leader in the Digital Assets space are seeking a Senior Java Developer, VP with experience builidng Algos to join them in Hong Kong. This is a greenfield opportunity where you'll help design and build the core of next-generation algorithmic trading infrastructure—from execution algorithms through to real-world production performance.

What you'll do

Design and build a low-latency, high-throughput EMS / Smart Order Router

Develop intelligent routing algorithms that optimize for execution quality, liquidity, latency, and total cost

Collaborate with trading teams, product stakeholders, and external partners to refine routing logic and deliver new algo capabilities

Monitor, benchmark, and optimize system performance under real-world trading conditions

Improve resilience and business continuity

Provide production support for trading issues and contribute to root-cause analysis and prevention

What we're looking for

8+ years experience developing routing strategies for specific markets using Java

Strong capability in tick data analytics and real-time market data processing

Experience building solutions for high-frequency / algorithmic trading environments

Solid understanding of the electronic trading stack (e.g., OMS/EMS, market gateways, execution flow)

Strong foundations in concurrency, networking, and memory management

Familiarity with cloud-based market access or hybrid deployments
