Role Overview
The Maintenance Manager leads plant-wide maintenance operations to ensure reliable, safe, and cost-effective production. This role oversees maintenance teams, equipment reliability, facilities, utilities, and tool & die operations while driving continuous improvement, preventive maintenance, and cost control.
This position is best suited for a hands-on maintenance leader who understands complex manufacturing environments and can balance uptime, safety, people leadership, and long-term equipment strategy.What You’ll Be Responsible ForEquipment Reliability & Plant Support
Direct maintenance activities for production equipment, facilities, utilities, and support systems
Ensure a reliable production platform through effective preventive and predictive maintenance
Monitor equipment performance, downtime, and recurring issuesLeadership & Workforce Management
Lead, develop, and support maintenance supervisors and technicians
Review work schedules, manpower requirements, and skill utilization
Provide training, coaching, and performance guidance to maintenance teams
Foster team involvement in continuous improvement and 5S activitiesMaintenance Strategy & Continuous Improvement
Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs
Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for equipment failures
Support productivity improvement and cost reduction initiatives
Maintain oversight of spare parts and tool room control programsPlanning, Budgeting & Capital Support
Plan, review, and manage maintenance budgets (short- and long-term)
Support capital planning, equipment upgrades, and replacement strategies
Approve requisitions for parts, supplies, machinery, and equipmentCompliance, Safety & Standards
Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and environmental regulations
Monitor maintenance projects to ensure safety and quality requirements are met
Support plant safety programs, housekeeping standards, and policy complianceCross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Production, Engineering, Quality, and other departments
Coordinate maintenance priorities to support production schedules and customer requirements
Maintain awareness of operational policies and ensure alignment across maintenance activities
Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field
OR equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience
8+ years of progressive maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
4+ years of leadership or management experience
Hands-on experience with electrical systems, electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical drives, robotics, welding, stamping, assembly, conveyors, and PLC troubleshooting
Automotive manufacturing experience preferred
Experience with the Toyota Production System (TPS) preferredTechnical Knowledge & Skills
Strong working knowledge of industrial maintenance technologies
Ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues and perform root cause analysis
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, drawings, and technical manuals
Understanding of automation, robotics, tooling, and manufacturing processes
Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance programs
Familiarity with budgets, costing, scheduling, and maintenance KPIs
Strong understanding of safety and environmental regulationsLeadership & Core Competencies

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple maintenance demands
Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environments

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Experience with integrated manufacturing or maintenance systems (e.g., Oracle, Kronos, Future 3)Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Automotive manufacturing environment with moderate to high noise levels
PPE required in designated areas (safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, hearing protection, etc.)
Ability to walk, stand, sit, climb, and inspect equipment throughout the plant
