2nd Facilities Maintenance Technician
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Performs work of a skilled variety, demanding a high degree of manual and technical competency
Ability to troubleshoot and repair pump's
Locates and determines malfunctions using test equipment
Facilities repair, carpentry, drywall and paint
Plumbing
Performs checks on safety equipment
Basic Tig and Mig welding mild steel, and stainless steel
Ability to read blueprints
Move parts and frames on and off machinery and throughout the facility
Maintains equipment and facilities in a safe operating condition. Repair breakdowns as required
Makes operating line adjustments as requested
Operate angle grinder, manual vertical band saw, and pedestal grinder. Understand and follow company GMP/Safety Standards and policies
Participate, as required, in safety and GMP training sessions, and other company training sessions
COMPETENCIES
Piping
Knowledge of domestic plumbing
Knowledge of all types of valves and functions. Including automated valve actuators.
USP Water
Knowledge of RO/DI water systems, ozone, T.O.C., U.V. light filtration.
Boilers
Understanding boiler operations, chemical feed system, condensate return systems, Y strainers and steam trap functions.
Air compressor
Knowledge of rotary screw compressors, air dryers, oil/water separators.
Glycol Chiller System
Knowledge of Daikin rooftop chillers, glycol/water mixtures, pumps, flow and temperature.
Wastewater
Basic understanding of Ph balance and levels
HVAC
Knowledge of rooftop AC units, exhaust fans, automated louvers, gas heaters.
Building Maintenance
General construction ability. Repair drywall, light fixtures/bulbs, general bathroom repairs, painting, daily facility inspections and repairs, egress lighting, fire extinguisher inspections, storm water inspections.
Tools
Knowledge and ability to use all types of hand tools and power tools.
Electrical
Knowledge of low voltage (12v thru 120v) electrical circuits, breaker box
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
