Contract Manager - Piet Retief

The suitable candidates main responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to the following:

Daily management reports and incident reports;

Client liaison;

Problem solving;

Checking and testing of all equipment and vehicles;

Managing people and assets;

Application of HR policies, practices and procedures;

Enforcing of Standard Operating Procedures;

Investigating of incidents;

Management of health and safety issues for Sappi;

Reading of forestry maps;

Must be able to cover a large area of the forestry as required by the clientPreferred qualifications/ attributes/skills

PSIRA certification- Grade A;

Grade 12 or equivalent qualification;

Knowledge and experience in forestry security will be an advantage;

Must be able to read forestry maps;

Investigation skills;

Community liaison experience

Computer literate [MS Word, Excel and Outlook];

Strong management and planning ability;

Health and Safety qualification and working knowledge of OHSA, NOSA;

Sound communication skills [verbal and in writing];

Must be prepared to work long hours;

Clean disciplinary, criminal and credit record;

Must have valid drivers license;

Zulu speaking will be an advantage;

Firearm competent;
