We are a growing manufacturing organization in the Columbus, Ohio area seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead and evolve our procurement function. This is a high impact role offering the opportunity to build, develop, and lead a purchasing team while directly influencing cost strategy, supplier relationships, and operational performance.

What You’ll Do

Own and manage all purchasing and procurement activities to support manufacturing operations

Develop sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts, and drive cost savings initiatives

Build and scale a purchasing team, including hiring, training, and performance management

Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Supply Chain to support production goals

Establish and improve purchasing processes, policies, and supplier performance metrics

Manage vendor relationships to ensure quality, cost, delivery, and risk objectives are met

What We’re Looking For

Experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain leadership within a manufacturing environment

Proven ability to negotiate costs, manage spend, and improve supplier performance

Leadership mindset with interest or experience in building and mentoring teams

Strong analytical, communication, and cross functional collaboration skills

Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and data driven decision making
