Job Details – PCU RN Travel Assignment

Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940 - $2,040

Location: Columbus, OH 43210 (Columbus, Ohio travel nursing)

Contract Duration: 13 weeks (June 15, 2026 – September 14, 2026)

Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30)

Hours per Week: 36

Setting: PCU Float Pool – may float to stepdown/PCU areas and other campuses (Stepdown RN / Progressive Care Unit RN role)

PCU Registered Nurse Requirements

Minimum 2 years of recent PCU/stepdown RN experience (Progressive Care Unit / Stepdown Nurse)

Valid RN license (compact license accepted or Ohio state license required at submission) — Ohio nursing jobs applicants must complete fingerprinting promptly

BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS certification preferred

Experience with Epic electronic health record (Epic charting) required

Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program

IV start and telemetry skills required (telemetry RN skills)

2 professional references required (at least 1 from a manager/director or formal leadership)

Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

PCU/Stepdown RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in PCU and stepdown units

Float between units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed (float pool travel nurse responsibilities)

Manage patient ratios of 1:3–4 while maintaining safety and clinical standards

Perform IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and accurate Epic charting

Administer and manage cardiac drips (no titration), blood products, and oxygen therapy

Care for central lines, PICC lines, chest tubes, tracheostomies, and feeding tubes

Interpret dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases (ABGs)

Participate on rapid response/code teams and engage in interdisciplinary collaboration

Maintain isolation precautions and PPE protocols

Support pre/post hemodialysis and neurosurgery patients as needed

Provide wound care and manage wound vacs when required
