Pay: $36-$38/hr (W2 ONLY)

Duration: 12-month contract-option to go internal

EPITEC is hiring a Mechanical Engineer 2 to support Caterpillar's Wheel Tractor-Scraper (WTS) platforms within the RI Operations and Products business unit. This role focuses on machine-level design integration, configuration control, and cross-functional collaboration to maintain overall machine layout and BOM integrity.

What You'll Do

Research, design, develop, and test mechanical products and systems

Review engineering change notices in Teamcenter to ensure accuracy and completeness

Maintain overall machine layout, arrangements, and Bill of Material (BOM) structure

Review proposed new designs and revisions for integration with overall machine configuration

Perform configuration reviews within the Global Engineering Change process

Collaborate with platform lead engineers, system design teams, supply chain, and manufacturing

Maintain machine-level CREO model integrity

Investigate equipment failures and support recommendations to maintenance teams

Assist with feasibility analysis related to customer design proposals and specifications Required Experience & Skills

2-4 years of mechanical engineering experience

Bachelor's degree in Engineering required (internships not accepted)

Ability to create sketches, engineering drawings, and perform common engineering computations

Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills

Detail-oriented team player Technical Skills
