BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION
To perform all aspects that are required to install and maintain industrial and facilities equipment. Broad skills required in mechanical and electromechanical systems including experience with PLCs, AC & DC drives. The person must be able to perform basic welding.
The industrial maintenance supervisor reports to the Plant Manager at the manufacturing facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:
Training and supervising maintenance personnel who report to you using safe work practice
Oversee all maintenance within the plant facility to include building, vehicles, heavy equipment, and production equipment:
Execute plant maintenance safely and in compliance with company policies and procedures
Coordinate major maintenance work or turnarounds with the Plant Manager
Supervise contractors performing base plant maintenance
Complete job plan requests, work orders and job completion forms
Performing other duties assigned by the Plant Manager
Flexible hours and on-call work will be required
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Preferred candidates will have at least 5 years' industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a continuous process industry or two years post-secondary education in a technical school or college education with a concentration in industrial technology or an equivalent combination of work experience and education
Operate the usage of current maintenance management system
Ability to read and interpret P&ID drawings, mechanical drawings, and understand process concepts, control systems, and instrumentation
Familiar with the basic operation of centrifugal pumps, centrifugal compressors, reciprocating compressors, gearboxes, piping and valves, and rigging
Must have experience working with 120/220/480 VAC electrical systems
Highly organized with the ability to multiple tasks and prioritize work
Must be a U.S. citizen or a non-U.S. citizen having legal status to reside and work in the U.S. for reasons other than practical training
Proven leadership, persuasiveness, initiative, adaptability, and communication skills are necessary for success in this position
Must be able to work safely in a production environment; Must be physically capable of performing job-related tasks and job duties. Climb, stoop, and lift objects up to 50 lbs.
Accountable for understanding and putting into practice the SHE Principles. Additionally, the Maintenance Supervisor has a responsibility to cascade the understanding of the principles through the location and their work group.

Regular, predictable, and full attendance is an essential function of the job.
Work closely with quality assurance, shipping personnel, and shift supervisor

Use hand to fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools and controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs or ladders
Specific visions abilities required by job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, the ability to adjust focus and distinguish color.
Employees must be able to lift objects up to 50 lbs
Ability to wear PPE, including, but not limited to, hard hat, safety glasses and steel toe footwear that meets ASTM F-2413-2005 standards while in required locations.
The employee will be required to: read, communicate verbally and in written form, remember and analyze certain information, and remember and understand certain instructions or guidelines.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The position combines hands-on supervision, technical evaluation, and administrative tasks
Must be able to work inside and outside in inclement weather
Work closely with quality control, production, shipping and plant manager
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Travel is not usually required. Travel to other cities or manufacturing facilities may be necessary for training or benchmarking purposes
